Len Hartley

Len brings a broad background in communications, marketing, web development, video production and service development. As past principal of Vancouver-based Hartley Media Ltd, Len provided strategic communications and web services to government, non-profit and Aboriginal organizations. He led the launch of acclaimed websites for clients that provided services and information for Aboriginal audiences.

Len’s career includes many years with the Government of British Columbia developing and managing in-person and online services. Len was instrumental in the development and operation of an exceptionally popular small business centre, receiving a gold medal in a nationwide competition for “Renewing Service Through Technology.” He also delivered public education services for BC’s multiculturalism branch and worked for the 2010 Olympic Bid Secretariat.

Len received his diploma in marketing management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and training in writing and publishing from Simon Fraser University. He has been involved in community television, producing a news magazine show exploring inner city issues and is past chair of ICTV, Vancouver’s independent community television cooperative. Len is married and has four children.
