Engaging young First Nation citizens is a fundamental part of planning for effective self-governance. NCFNG delivers youth sessions in your community and designs each session with you, based on your nation’s needs and end goals. The session helps youth to determine how they can become engaged in restoring your nation and leaves them with an action plan for positive change.
EMERGING LEADERSHIP PROGRAMThis program is designed for emerging leaders and connects participants to four cornerstones for restoring our nations: history, sacred homelands, language and spirituality. Participants will connect to the original territories of their ancestors, practice their language and culture, and be part of a community-based nation rebuilding project. Participants develop a spectrum of new skills including facilitation, project planning, budgeting and community engagement.
The Centre hosts national and regional think tanks for youth to network, dialogue and strategize on ways to become involved in governance within their nation and region. Think tanks offer inspiring presentations from respected leaders in the areas of self-governance, nation rebuilding and leadership.
REGIONAL GATHERINGSNCFNG's regional offices host forums and think tanks to inform youth about self-governance and nation rebuilding. The gatherings provide a unique platform for youth to network and share their experiences and successes. The Centre uses innovative facilitation methods to engage all participants in meaningful dialogue at our forums.
HIGHSCHOOL WORKSHOPSNCFNG regional offices offer interactive nation rebuilding workshops for youth councils and high school students. Workshops include presentations and facilitated dialogue sessions.
